=O! SHAME ON ME! I haven't blogged about the Anime Expo yet! It was the BEST (and only ^_^;;;) con I've ever been to. BUT, before I start rambling about it (if I do, I'll finish about it in about 2 paragraphs and forget a whole bunch of details) I'm going to start - very slowly (not really, but meh) about Thursday.

In Math (mind you this is about the only interesting thing that happened in school that day), Alec was telling me that he was bored and completely lost. So to distract himself, he started drawing (or writing) something on a graph paper he'd ripped out of his notebook (somehow not making any noise...must be years of experience). Mr. Pellegrino was explaining how you're supposed to write a set of outcomes and what kinds there are when Alec said, "Andrea."

I turned my head to look at him and he whispered. "I'm going to shoot it in the basket." Sometimes you really have to wonder what goes through that head of his, but there he was, throwing the now crumpled paper over his shoulder. We watched as it flew through the air (for about 15 seconds. XD) towards the recycling basket....and then it fell on the floor. It rolled around a bit and stopped at my feet, so I picked it up. At first I wanted to see what he wrote (and I wanted to draw something on it), so I began unfolding the paper.

Unfortunately I don't have such expertise with this type of thing, so I was making a lot of noise (not to mention the class was quiet). He whispered, "Hey yo! Do it with your feet so he doesn't see you." So I dropped it onto the floor (loudly, stupid me) and tried to undo it with my shoe. Too bad you can't tell what the heck you're doing.

I couldn't feel anything, so all I did was make even more noise. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, Pellegrino yelled, "ALEC, STOP IT. If you're going to throw paper around the LEAST you can do is get it in the WASTE BASKET!" I think he thought it was Alec making all the noise. ^_^;; When Pellegrino turned around Alec started laughing. Not loudly (Slef: Unlike some people), and then "advised" me to throw it away.

So I picked up the paper, turned around and tossed it, thinking that because the garbage was so close (it was right behind my desk), I wouldn't need to throw it very far. It hit the rim and fell off. -_-;; I tried to get it in again but was too worried that Pellegrino would catch me. So when he turned around, I jumped out my chair, threw the paper away and then went back to my place.

YESH! Now on to the con.

Friday (the first day of the con), Nat was supposed to give us all a lift downtown. Catherine was originally supposed to come with us, but at the last minute Adrian came along, so they took the train first and then Ari, Nat and I got a lift. Nat called me and asked how to get to my house, so I said, "Go off Sources and drive onto Commercial Centre. After the train tracks, there's a fork in a road that goes three ways. Pick the middle one. I think it's 8th street or avenue or something..." Then I continued a bit. Nat told me that she would come pick me up at around 11, which was fine by me since I had all my things ready.

Suddenly it's 11:30 and Nat still didn't come by. Catherine called and told me they were already in Chinatown, and I told her that I was still waiting at home. Nat called me right after that, and told me that she was lost. I tried to tell her how to get here, but unfortunately I don't know any of the streets by name (9th? Where the hell is 9th?). I tried describing it (there was a newly paved road somewhere), but instead Nat passed me to her mom. We tried to figure out where she was, and finally I told her that I lived at the end of 13th. She said, "Oh, I know that street," or something, and then a few minutes later she said they were on General Brock. When they pulled up in front of the house (at noon), I got all my things and was ready to leave...Dubbo started barking like mad and I remember that I had to put him away. I really tried but he's so big, and he started growling at me which was kind of scary. But I figured that he would get out anyway, so I didn't bother.

We were getting out of the driveway when the car stalled. It kept stalling over and over again, so we went back to Nat's house to change cars (the first was a really cool van). Luckily, this one didn't stall all that much so we drove to Chinatown.

It was freezing, freezing cold outside, and Nat's mom dropped us off somewhere that was a bit far from the pastry shop we were meeting Cat and Adrian at. I knew the way and we walk (err, ran) there. After we met up with Catherine, we ate at Guang Zhou restaurant (soda there is only 90 cents! Could you believe it?) and checked out the anime store next door.

Ari, Nat and I saw all these cute little anime things (Mashi Maro earmuffs! AND PILLOWS!!!) and said that we'd go back to buy stuff for the ski trip. After that we decided that there was nothing else to do in Chinatown and headed over to the Palais de Congres. It was 3.

We got inside and Mo called, asking what we were doing. I told her that we were waiting (Mo: WHAT?! Already?), and I filmed the line of people waiting. There weren't that many yet, we were probably 20th or something in line. I changed into my costume in a bathroom, and when I came back (Cat was fixing my hair) people just started taking my picture. It was weird. They just took them and left. Sometimes they asked for one (one actually asked me to talk about my costume for her video-thingy, whatever it was).

At 3:40 the line was HUGE. Really, really HUMONGOUS. I video-ed it a bit and then the ticket booths opened. We all got our passes and went in....

TO BE CONTINUED. XD
